What We Believe

Our statement of faith — the foundation for teaching, worship, and life together.

  1. The Bible We believe the Bible is inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God, and inerrant in the original writings.
  2. One God in three persons We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
  3. Jesus Christ We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ: His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, atoning death, bodily resurrection, ascension, and personal return in power and glory.
  4. Salvation Salvation is only through the shed blood of Jesus. Our response is faith, repentance, confession, and baptism by immersion. Water baptism signifies death, burial, and resurrection into new life.
  5. Holy Communion We observe weekly Holy Communion.
  6. The Holy Spirit We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
  7. Resurrection We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the unsaved — the saved to life, and the unsaved to damnation.
  8. Unity of believers We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
  9. The church’s assignment We are called to share the gospel locally and worldwide — We Exist To Help People Know Jesus.
